I tried a 15-step hair spa in the heart of Seoul!
Hi there, Jennifer here!
At the end of April we came home from an absolutely wonderful trip from Seoul where we filled our days with endless K-beauty, supplier meetings and a 15-step scalp treatment! We spent a total of 6 days in the city of which Wednesday's agenda had this treatment scheduled.
The treatment was performed at the Eco Jardin salon near Aeogae Station. Before the treatment we had arranged a meeting with our colleague Claire from Hyggee and she was so kind to show us the way to the salon.
Picture: Team GLOWiD and Claire from Hyggee. We met at Starbucks near the salon and recorded content and talked about their upcoming trip to Stockholm, we are so excited that they are coming to visit!
We booked the treatment via their instagram, the fact that it is quite common that the treatments are booked via What's App or Insta DM and not a separate booking system! It was smooth anyway and as the salon seemed to be very popular (I found this salon via Tiktok!) they were very keen that we wouldn't cancel the treatment or be late!
We had to start by taking off our clothes and jumping into a cozy bathrobe. Next we were shown to our treatment chair where we each got to choose a drink, I had the Lemon Tea which tasted like sweet lemonade, so refreshing!

Step 1: The treatment started by evaluating my scalp and scalp before the treatment. On a screen in front of you, you could clearly see that my scalp was full of dead skin cells and sebum, which didn't come as a surprise as I hadn't washed my hair, just topped up with dry shampoo and refrained from washing it as I saved everything for this occasion. I was a little embarrassed when the hairdresser made surprised "ohh" and "wow" sounds at me and my scalp, haha! With a twinkle in the eye, of course! ;)
Here you can ask yourself the question "How does my scalp/hair feel?" Is it sensitive, irritated, itchy, oily, dry etc? Depending on your experience, you adapt your hair care accordingly, just like with skin care!
Step 2 Cleansing and exfoliation with aroma oil. The hairdresser had an aroma oil in the scalp and started to massage it in partly manually with the hands but also with a galvanic brush which stands for step 3. This brush helped to penetrate the ingredients deeper with the help of LED technology. This increased blood circulation and dissolved tension in the head, so nice!
Since we don't have any scalp oil here at GLOWiD, I can instead recommend Scalp Scaling ampoule from La'dor, a scalp scrub that can be used before shampooing or after shampooing, regardless of how it should be applied, massaged in and then rinsed out, I I have used up 4 ampoules of this myself and love it!
Massage with your fingers or why not La'dor's blue scalp massage tool?
Step 4 a liquid detoxifying scrub was applied along with step 5 which was steam. I got a fancy cap on the hood to further penetrate the product deeper. Pores and the hair's cuticles open up and become porous from heat, so try it yourself, maybe in the sauna at the gym or put a plastic cap on your head! A suggestion for a detoxifying scrub could be the Saturday Skin Scalp Peptide Treatment, which looks like a liquid toner you put on wet hair or on dry hair in the evening before bedtime. It contains BHA acid and peptides that exfoliate and revitalize the skin in the hair!
Step 6 It was time for a neck massage and wow what a massage is underrated hörrni! There was quite a lot of focus on massaging around the head and not necessarily just the scalp, this to increase the blood supply and open up the lymph stations that bring all the fluid and blood to and away from the head area, which makes so much sense! Take your favorite oil cleanser and massage your neck, shoulders and décolleté, maybe even your face if you do this routine in the evening and have makeup on? You will still soon move on to steps 7 and 8 which is a hot towel followed by shampooing!
Step 7 consisted of something as simple as a warm towel on the shoulders, incredibly relaxing!
Step 8 it was time for shampooing. And of course they double cleansed the scalp just as we think in skin care. In this kit, we have therefore put it together with a "regular" shampoo from La'dor and an exfoliating and detoxifying shampoo from Dr Ceuracle. Start with the regular shampoo and follow up with the detox shampoo!
Step 9 consisted of the shampooing along with step 9 an electronic tool called "Y Stick" which used + and - charged ions which made the shampoo work deeper and at the same time lifted metals from the scalp. This is not a common tool you have at home, but a detox shampoo and massage tool will do the trick!
Step 11 Rest in hair spa! You were shown to your private little room and had to lie down on a treatment bed (so nice that it wasn't a hard hairdresser's chair!) and there they put the waterfall over your head and you got 10 minutes to yourself. I, who at this point was a little jetlagged and overwhelmed by new impressions, managed to fall asleep in no time, so nice! Then the hair was rinsed out and we went out into the salon again. This time would be perfect to add the Tea Tree Scalp Pack from La'dor, i.e. a scalp mask!
Step 12 was another evaluation of the scalp with the same camera before and now you could clearly see an improvement in how clean and healthy the scalp looked, so cool!
Step 13 a toner was applied with a focus on hair growth, here again Saturday Skin Scalp & peptide treatment can be an excellent alternative as it works on hair growth!
Step 14 another tool was used, a so-called T-stick that would make the toner penetrate deeper into the scalp.
Step 15 was finally styling in the form of blow drying! Not many styling products were included and I probably would have liked some sort of leave in and an oil, so we added Keratin Power Glue to the kit and also our popular perfumed hair oil La Pitta to our own kit!
After the treatment, the hair felt extremely clean and fresh, the scalp felt calm, cool and somehow "light". I will definitely take this home with me to my hair routine in Sweden and do it at least once a month to really deep clean and treat the scalp!
Hope you have enjoyed reading about my experience from the scalp treatment and that you will be inspired to adopt certain principles to your hair care routine with the help of the Seoul Scalp & Hair Treatment Kit!
